Success 2

Part 2 Here is part two of my speech. I hope you enjoy! Much Love, Mrs. Misenheimer  2. Give yourself time to succeed. Your entire foundation of success must be based on the fact that “God’s original intention is His final decision. Jeremiah 29:11 declares God’s plan to prosper you and to give you hope and a future. You will have ups and downs as you travel along your road to success. Bear in mind, those ups and downs are all part of your life story. God will use your experiences at school and at work to uniquely qualify you for His purpose. No one else can bring to the table what you bring and no one will be able to disqualify you from what God has already spoken about you, except you. On May 30, 1993, I received my pink bible and my award of achievement here at RoseHill Baptist Church for graduating from high school. I had major plans of becoming a successful fashion editor and travel the world to cover International Fashion Shows. In the fall of 1993, I enrolled in college and registered for accelerated courses in communications and electives in fashion merchandising. I had a plan to succeed.    Somewhere along my journey, I disqualified myself from completing my goals. My focus turned from obtaining success, to finding fault in everything that was around me. I eventually left school and began to operate outside of God’s will for my life. At that moment, I could not see God’s purpose for me and I did not give myself enough time to succeed. It is no coincidence that I stand here before you, eighteen years later and deliver this message. Some of our high school graduates may have been born in 1993, which would presently make you 18 years of age. This message is being delivered from the perspective of one lifetime to the next.  In the Hebrew culture, the number 18 symbolizes a blessing of long life. So with my sincerest blessing, I contribute knowledge that I’ve learned along the way. As you travel your road to success, remain usable. Know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord. Learn from your experiences, do not make hasty decisions and give thanks to God during your good times and not so good times. Trust and know that God’s plan for your life is specific to only you. You will become the Word that God wants to preach through you. Your story of success and the road you travel will be used as a beacon of light for the next generation.  You may be the high school graduate who lost his parents along his journey, you may be the single mother, who is now graduating from college or you may even be the adult who decided to obtain their GED, after a life filled with heartache and setbacks. Whatever your situation, give yourself time to succeed!
