John4:1-9

1 Now when Jesus knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John 2 (although Jesus himself was not baptizing, but his disciples), 3 he left Judea and departed again for Galilee. 4 And it was necessary for him to go through Samaria.  5 Now he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the piece of land that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6 And Jacob’s well was there, so Jesus, because he had become tired from the journey, simply sat down at the well. It was about the sixth hour.  7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me water to drink.” 8 (For his disciples had gone away into the town so that they could buy food.) 9 So the Samaritan woman said to him, “How do you, being a Jew, ask from me water to drink, since I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)

In 2012, I resolve to get out more. There are places that I need to be and people that I need to see. In the story above, Jesus knew that it was necessary for him to go through Samaria. In Samaria, there was a woman in need of a savior and a town in need of her testimony!

What has God laid on your heart and in your mind that is necessary for you to complete in 2012. It’s all about networking! You have the water! It may be a smile, a greeting, a hug or an encouraging word that will make someone’s day and change their entire life!

Remember Psalm 139 says, God has searched you and he knows you, he knows when you sit and when you rise, he even understands your thoughts. Why not trust him and go where it is necessary!

Make Him Great In This Place!
