He’s Able As the songstress began to sing…”Exceedingly, Abundantly, Above all, you can ask or think”…..I immediately began to weep. Those words only hold true for one and that is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As the remainder of the choir joined in, I was drawn to my feet as being lifted by angels. My hands started waving and my tears continued to flow. Not only was I ecstatic just to be in God’s presence, I felt especially loved and catered to. Last week was a really heavy week for me, seems like all kinds of trials and traps were just lurking around trying to lure me in. The more I worshipped God, the more I wept. The more I wept, the more I could feel His warm embrace, renewing my mind, repairing my heart and fellowshipping with my spirit! God is awesome! As the choir continued…”According to the power that worketh through you and me; God is able to do just what he said he would do, He’s gonna fulfill every promise to you”…”Don’t give up on God, cause he won’t give up on you…He’s Able!” The more they sang He’s Able, the more I shouted He’s Able! In a suddenly moment, my tears stopped flowing and my peace was still. God gave me a peace that surpassed all that I could ever imagine. It was so surreal but so welcome. I wanted to hold on to that moment for as long as I could. As I heard the phrase “He’s Able” in two separate instances from the song at church, I knew this was God’s confirmation that I need to stop trying to figure out what he’s already worked out! I have a tendency to try and connect the dots and make all the pieces of a puzzle line up perfectly but God reminded me yet again that he works things out according to HIS power, not mine. God said to me, “Melissa, if I can part the Red Sea on command…I can take care of you. If I can command the Sun to rise and set and the moon to appear, surely I can take care of you. If I can command a Shepard boy to defeat a giant with a slingshot and a rock, I can take care of you! Remember how Sampson defeated that army with the jawbone of a donkey, yeah that was my doing, so surely I can take care of you. God reminds me that he does not have to construct some magnificent plan to work in my life, he can and will use those silly unexpected things! Thank you Lord and thank you LeRoy Dean for calling me out of my isolation! ~SUGA!!
