Compassion

2 Kings 20:4... ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. God is a God who cannot lie. His word is set on a solid foundation that will never fade away, get old or become useless. There are so many promises and truth to His word. Today's scripture reminds us that God hears our prayers and sees our tears and because of this it causes Him to move. Constantly staying in prayer over a situation calls God to action. You give him permission to move in your life! When we come to the end of ourself, our own knowledge and limited understanding about a situation, God can do a new thing in you and for you! All that God has planned for us is part of a bigger picture. Our experiences are to influence more than our immediate circle, they our part of God's bigger picture for the good of all mankind. In 2 Kings:4, Hezekiah had been instructed to get his house in order because he was going to die. God sent a prophet to forewarn this man that he needed to get his affairs straight because his time on earth was almost over. Hezekiah wept bitterly! What caused God to move, was it Hezekiah's tears, was it his reminder to God of how he had walked with him faithfully with wholehearted devotion, no. It was God's plan to bring glory to a dead situation. Hezekiah became faith and because of this he produced faith. Not only did he benefit by having 15 years added to his life, but an entire nation benefited by seeing the healing power of God. Today, I challenge you to become that very thing that is holding you back and taking life out of you. Call it to action and hold it accountable. My prayer: Dear father, thank you for opportunities to profess your word and love to your people. Thank you for working in our lives and healing us, so that others can be healed as well.
