Call Him! Joel 2:28-32: And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the survivors whom the Lord calls. The scriptures describe the day of the Lord as great and dreadful. This glorious day of eye witnessing the coming of our Lord and Savior, our helper and our comforter will be marked with dread. The sun will be darkened and the moon turned to blood. To the average person this message may seem a bit uncomfortable or make you feel a little fearful. To those who have been saved, the Lord has personally poured out his spirit on you and given you peace of mind. The encouraging news for us all is HIS promise to save EVERYONE who calls on HIS name. How do you call him? You resist sin and temptation. How do you resist sin and temptation? You commit your ways to him! There comes a point in everyone’s life where choices have to be made. The person you were yesterday has to die and your new self must spring forth. You can’t expect change if you’re doing the same thing over and over again. God is not an ordinary God; he does not operate in mediocrity. He is a great God! He is an all-knowing, all doing, all providing, all efficient by himself God. The beauty of this is, he wants you to have it too! All of it! He gave up his son for you! He turned his face from the cross for you! Now, I do not proclaim to be any more than I am or label myself as something that I am not, but there are two certain and constant components in my life. My love for the Lord and His love for me! They are immovable and unshakable. I do know that the only way to be saved and receive God’s Holy Spirit, is to confess that you are a sinner and that you are unable to change if God does not come into your heart. Ask for forgiveness of your sin and you must accept that Christ died on the cross so that you could be saved and allow Him to be Lord of your life. Those simple steps allow you eternal peace and not eternal darkness and despair. Someone may be saying that it is difficult to do something that you’ve never done or seen before. The greatest part of receiving the Holy Spirit is also receiving the mind of Christ! Yes! Christ's mind allows you to see things as he sees them. He will give you spiritual insight into those things to come and when you begin to walk in it and take His word for it, you will see change! My prayer for you: Lord, your people need you. They need to see you present in their life. They need to know that you have not forgotten about them and that you are watching over them. Comfort them Lord and let them feel your powerful hand at work. Lord we love you and we thank you.  In Jesus Name. Amen! Much Love, Mrs. Misenheimer
